This "Negative Space" series is a practice in wabi-sabi where the negative space is not seen as emptiness, rather the nothingness is alive with possibilities. From the boarders of the nothingness, a whole world is made manifest. With an exploration of a lilliputian world through macro photography- a viewing of conventional items that appear to be otherworldly when viewed on this scale- the viewer is beckoned to find new life in the overlooked and unseen; by capturing everyday objects through macro photography in a way that brings a sense of otherworldly whimsy to our own everyday macrocosmic world.
